The
Federation has been instrumental in producing a National Vocational
Qualification applicable to the majority of staff at member
companies, who are involved in the manufacturing process of
making lubricants and greases. Several member companies helped
in the lengthy process of producing and piloting this standard.
The training is provided through a local training organisation
and member companies need to arrange enrolment of employees
for the Lubricants Operations NVQ directly with the appropriate
provider. These providers are located at Tipton, in the West
Midlands and in Brighouse in Yorkshire. The Yorkshire centre
will also provide facilities to member companies in the North
West.
